Pike County, Indiana-The Pike County Community Foundation is accepting online applications for their fall Community Good Grants Program. Grant applications for programs and projects up to $3,000 are due at midnight on Monday, October 8, 2018. Organizations must complete applications online via the Foundation’s website.
The first of two of the Foundation’s Community Good Grants Programs are open grant cycles for charitable organizations seeking funding and is a competitive process. Being offered this fall and next spring, grants are normally given as one-time support of a project but may be considered for additional support or for expansions or outgrowths of an initial project. The Foundation awards Community Good grants to charitable partners located in or directly serving Pike County. Grant applications are reviewed by a volunteer selection committee that makes recommendations to the local advisory board, and final approval is made by the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation Alliance, Inc.
Projects and activities may be from charitable entities qualified as 501(c)(3) or 509(a) organizations and from governmental agencies and other organizations not classified as 501(c)(3) public charities when the project or activity has a charitable purpose.
Agencies and projects not eligible for funding include religious organizations for religious purposes, political parties or campaigns, endowment creation or debt reduction, normal operating costs, capital campaigns, annual appeals or membership contributions, and travel requests for groups or individuals such as bands, sports teams, or school classes.
