Community Foundation Announces Giving Tuesday Matching Gift Program

(Vincennes, Indiana)  The Knox County Community Foundation will again host a Giving Tuesday event on Tuesday, December 3rd, focused on building permanent endowment for charitable organizations serving Knox County. This year, $40,000 is available to match gifts dollar for dollar for these funds.

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Any gift received on Giving Tuesday (Tuesday, December 3, 2019) from individuals and groups to add to or to establish a new designated or agency fund will be matched dollar for dollar. Gifts are accepted online at or from 8:30 to 4 pm at the Foundation office located inside Old National Bank, 20 N. Third Street, Suite 301 in Vincennes.

A $5,000 gift is all that’s needed to establish a new fund. Those interested in establishing a new fund on Giving Tuesday should contact the Foundation in advance at 812.886.0093.
