(Washington, Indiana) The Daviess Community Foundation is now accepting online applications for their Community Good Grants Program. The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, August 27, 2020.
“This year, our Community Good grant cycle has expanded funding opportunities for our charitable partners,” says Lauren Osmon, Regional Director of Community Engagement and Impact.
Osmon added that the Community Foundation’s flexibility in meeting the needs of the community makes it possible for grant cycles to change from year to year. “Our board’s decision to change this year’s Community Good grant cycle to accept both project-based and general support applications was based on the needs in our community today. We know our charitable partners are adjusting to many changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to respond to their needs by changing this year’s grant cycle and offering an expanded funding option that is well-suited to support their vital work.”
Charitable entities can view details related to funding requirements and access the grant application via the Foundation’s website at www.CommunityFoundationAlliance.org/Daviess/grants. All organizations submitting grant proposals will be notified of the outcome via email by November 1, 2020.
Agencies and projects not eligible for funding include religious organizations proposing activities that support a religious purpose, political parties or campaigns, endowment creation or debt reduction, capital campaigns, annual appeals or membership contributions, and travel requests for groups or individuals such as bands, sports teams, or school classes.
