Spencer County, Indiana The Spencer County Community Foundation is now accepting applications for charitable projects or activities in Spencer County. The Women’s Fund held at the Spencer County Community Foundation is providing funding for a single grant of up to $5,000 and invites charitable organizations to describe how their organization would use the award. Applications are being accepted through January 31, 2019.
The Foundation welcomes funding requests from non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and from governmental agencies. Funding requests from other non-profit organizations to carry out charitable projects or activities may also be accepted.
The types of charitable activities that may be supported through this grant program include arts and culture, community development, education, health, human services, environment, recreation, and youth development projects and programs.
Notification of the grant award will be made in July 2019.
The grant application process is being conducted online via the Community Foundation’s website at CommunityFoundationAlliance.org/Spencer. Following submission of the online application, three to five finalists will be selected by a volunteer committee and presented to donors to the Women’s Fund, who will then select the grant recipient.
