Unrestricted Funds

Unrestricted Funds allow the Community Foundation to identify needs and opportunities in the community and target your dollars where they will be most effective. These funds provide the greatest flexibility for your generosity to make an impact where it’s needed most.

Designated Funds

Designated Funds allow you to provide ongoing support toa particular charitable organization in perpetuity. Without any additional action, the agency you choose when you establish your fund will receive grants from your endowment forever.

Field-of-Interest Funds

Field-of-Interest Funds allow you to address broad issues or social concerns that are most important to you.You decide the purpose of the fund, such as meeting the needs of children or promoting the arts, and the Community Foundation finds projects that are effectively accomplishing that goal. The Community Foundation’s leadership will use its expertise to identify, evaluate and award grants to the most qualified and deserving organizations or programs in your interest area.

Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-Advised Funds allow you to participate in selecting the charities that receive grants from the fund each year.  You can designate yourself, your spouse, your children or others as advisors of the fund who may recommend grants. Our staff can help by identifying and researching charitable organizations addressing issues of importance to you, or you can recommend distributions to your favorite charities as you learn of their needs throughout the year.

Scholarship Funds

Scholarship Funds promote the personal academic growth of students in the community. Scholarships can be established in honor or memory of someone special to you and can be created by individuals, families, or corporations to increase access to education.

Agency Funds

Agency Funds allow a non-profit organization or agency to create an endowment fund managed by the Community Foundation.  Earnings, in accordance with the Community Foundation’s spending policy, are distributed to the organization annually to support its operations and/or programs.
