Princeton, Indiana—The Community Foundation Alliance has announced the recipient of this year’s Mark Kniese Scholarship. The annual scholarship is made possible by a fund established by August Neal in memory of Mark Kniese, who had been a counselor with her at Camp Carson in Princeton.
Aaron Bussell from Lexington, Kentucky, who has been on staff at Camp Carson for the past two years, has been selected to receive this year’s $2,500 scholarship. A sophomore at the University of Kentucky, Bussell is majoring in Computer Science. Prior to attending Camp Carson several summers ago, he attended the Camp Corral program which is limited to children of military parents who have been deployed and returned with a disability.
“I’m honored to be selected as the scholarship recipient and take great pride in this connection to the values exemplified by Mark Kniese and the Camp,” says Bussell.
This is the 18th year for the scholarship with awards totaling just over $46,000.
