Are you ready for some fun? Perry County Community Foundation’s is now accepting reservations for its Annual Trivia Night!
The Perry County Community Foundation’s Advisory Board will host their 5th Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Schergens Center in Tell City. We invite you to be a part of this mind-battling, ego-bruising trivia fun! Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. (Special dietary requirements can be accommodated; please note these on the registration form or call the Foundation office in advance.)
Trivia starts at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are required, and space is limited. Everyone is invited to this fun, light-hearted competition, from know-it-all trivia junkies to those who enjoy simply having a good time while supporting a good cause. All proceeds of this year’s Trivia Night will go towards providing grants for the ever changing needs of our community.
Groups of individuals, including civic groups, businesses, churches, or just friends and family, are invited to create teams and come compete! Each team is invited to decorate their table and come dressed in creative team spirit wear to compete for the “spirit” award. Please note the following aren’t allowed at the Schergens Center: No balloons of any type, no silly string, and no fog machines.
The seven trivia categories will be: Perry County History; Mistakes and Mishaps that Made Headlines; Technology and Gadgets; Movies and Television; Food and Fashion; News; and Sports, Games and Leisure Time.
The winning team will receive a $500 grant to be awarded to a 501(c)(3) or 509(a) organization of their choice. Second and third place teams will receive surprises. Each participant will receive participation gifts and a delicious meal served by Lawson’s Bar and Grill, and cash bar will be available. There will also be a silent auction, so bring your cash or checkbook and bid on unique and exciting items!
The cost is $250 per table (up to 8 participants). If you don’t have a team, $15 will buy you dinner and a front-row seat to watch the competition. Registration is required for both teams and spectators and is accomplished by completing a form and providing payment. Registration forms are available through the Foundation office by emailing Foundation Director Renate Warner at firstname.lastname@example.org or you may call 812.547.3176 to request one. Checks should be made payable to the Perry County Community Foundation. Registrations and payments are due to the Foundation by 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, but space is limited, so please reserve your spot today!
The proceeds of the Trivia Night strengthen the Foundation’s ability to meet needs in our community and assist our efforts in keeping philanthropy an integral part of our community. We invite you to be a part of this mind-battling, ego-bruising trivia fun by gathering a team of your friends!
