Family of Funds

We work with donors to fulfill their charitable goals by structuring charitable funds that are customized to fit their unique goals, easy to implement, and supported by our broad community knowledge and expertise. Following is a list of funds individuals, families, business, civic groups, and agencies have established to benefit Pike County now and forever into the future. An unrestricted endowment fund, established by Joe W. and Lorraine K. Craig in honor and memory of her parents, to improve the lives and quality of life in Pike County, now and forever.

Emery and Edna Boger Fund

An unrestricted fund founded by Mrs. Edna Boger to create a lasting legacy for Mr. and Mrs. Boger.

Paul and Karen Cooper Family Fund

An unrestricted endowment fund, established by Paul and Karen Cooper, to improve Pike County and the lives of its residents now and in the future.

A donor-advised fund created by William and Michele Teague, in honor and memory of his mother, to support Petersburg Elementary School.

C.M. and Carla Brown Community Good Fund

Elmer Buchta Technology Center Fund

A designated, non-permanent fund, established by Pike County Progress Partners, to provide support to the construction of the Elmer Buchta Technology Center.

First United Methodist Church of Petersburg Fund

A designated fund created by an anonymous donor to benefit the First United Meth­odist Church of Petersburg.

Tiffani Fisher Thomforde Music Fund

A designated fund established by Tiffani’s husband and her parents to honor and continue her love of music.  The Pike Central Music Department and the Farnsworth K-8 School music department in Chicago.

Vance and Shari Hays Performing Arts Fund

A designated fund created to support Pike Central High School Swing Choir and Theater Department to promote the musical arts.

Arlis Jack Hief and Martha Gregory Hief Music Fund

An agency fund created to provide music scholarships or to support other musical endeavors that benefit Pike Central High School students.

Hume Family Fund for Winslow

A designated endowment fund, established by Marilee Hume, to provide funding for the general upkeep, maintenance, and/or major remodeling of the building housing the Winslow Community Center, as well as to provide funding for the Winslow Parks and Recreation Board, with emphasis on maintenance needs and activities.

Martha and Marion Klipsch Fund for Petersburg Little League

A designated fund created by Marion R. and Martha A. Klipsch to benefit Petersburg Little League Baseball Inc.

Pike Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) Fund

A designated fund established through the estate of Dixie Loveless to help support the local pet shelter.

Pike Central Swim Team Fund

A designated endowment fund established by John Dudenhoeffer, Mark Luff, and Gary Keepes to provide support to the Pike Central High School’s girls’ and boys’ swim teams.

Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center Fund

An agency fund established by the Pike County Area Rehabilitation Center in Petersburg, Indiana.

A designated fund established through a matching gift opportunity from Marvin Snyder for the PCARC.

Pike County Community Foundation Administrative Fund

A designated fund created by the Pike County Community Foundation to support administration of the Foundation.

Marvin Snyder Town of Winslow Fund

A designated fund established by Marvin Snyder in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Snyder and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Eskind to benefit the Town of Winslow for the general health and welfare of its residents.

An agency fund created by the Town of Winslow (Ind.) and advocates and supporters of Winslow Community Center.

Mary F. Curtis Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created through the estate of Sammy K Curtis in honor and memory of his aunt Miss Mary F. Curtis.

Petersburg First United Methodist Church Memorial Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established from funds left to the church from the estate of William and Bernice Hilsman in memory of Dessie McDade Burton to further higher education.

Dessie Mae (Bruce) Griffith Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Allison Bell, Jodie Dawn Huntsman, Christina Scales in memory of their mother to benefit graduating seniors of Pike Central High School.

Lawrell Hilgeman Memorial Scholarship/Pike Optimists of Petersburg, Indiana, Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Pike Optimists in memory of their esteemed member.

Claud W. and Lois Kemp Family Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Jerry D. Kemp to remember his grandparents, Claud W. and Lois (Corn) Kemp. Mr. and Mrs. Kemp were lifelong residents of Pike County. Claud Kemp was a long time teacher and principal at Velpen School in Velpen, IN. The scholarship is dedicated to Mr. Kemp and his enthusiasm for education.

Martha and Marion Klipsch Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Marion R. and Martha A. Klipsch.

Montes/Fenol Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Drs. Honesto and Rosabella Fenol for students who might need a second chance.

Otwell School Alumni Association Fund

A scholarship fund established by the Otwell School Alumni Association to help graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.

Petersburg High School Class of 1959 Scholarship Fund

A scholarship established by the PHS Class of 1959 to help Pike Central High School seniors pursue advanced education.

Pike Central High School Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by James S. and Cindy Gaskins.

Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Pike County Chamber of Commerce.

Schafer Pike County Community Foundation Scholarship Committee Fund

A scholarship fund created by Karl O. and Elizabeth D. Schafer.

Harrell and LaVern Shoultz Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Harrell and LaVern Shoultz.

Kenny Veale Memorial Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Carolyn Veale, in memory of her husband Kenny Veale, to help budding engineers with their college career.

Vinson Family Scholarship Fund

A scholarship established by John and Mary Ellen Vinson to help graduating seniors at Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.

Dr. and Mrs. William A. Weathers and Betty B. Wyatt Memorial Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by Pike Central High School in memory of its former teacher, counselor and principal, Dr. William A. Weathers, his wife, and their friend Mrs. Betty B. Wyatt. Dr. William A. Weathers was born in Petersburg on October 14, 1912, and was a 1930 graduate of Petersburg High School and a 1934 graduate of Oakland City College. He spent his entire 42-year career in education at Petersburg High School and Pike Central High School and was active in civic and community affairs. Dr. Weathers retired from education in 1977 but remained involved with Pike County youth until his death in December 1998. Betty B. Wyatt was a teacher for more than 40 years. She and Dr. Weathers worked together as educators for many years. They were both members of the Petersburg Main Street Presbyterian Church, and they were friends.

Winslow Eagles Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Winslow Eagles to benefit students of Pike Central High School.

Winslow High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund created by the Winslow High School Alumni Association.

Darwin and Grace Youngs Scholarship Fund

A scholarship fund established by Darwin C. Youngs to help graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursue advanced education.
