Annual renewable scholarship created by Dorothy M. Eykamp to encourage Gibson County residents and children of employees of Mid-States Rubber Products to further their education, to recognize academic achievement of those graduating from high school and continuing their education, and to motivate recipients to achieve maximum scholastic and vocational potential.
Applicants must be Gibson County residents or the natural or adopted children of a current employee who has completed the equivalent of one year of full-time service with Mid-States Rubber Products prior to January 31 of the year in which the award is to be made. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course of study leading to a two-year degree or certificate at an accredited junior college or State-supported technical college. Applicants must have graduated in the upper half of their high school senior class.
Selection will be based on scholastic record, evidence of leadership, and career plans and objectives. Preference will be given to students with a parent employed at Mid-States Rubber Products.

May be renewable for a second year. Renewal applications may be considered provided recipient has maintained a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) during the college freshman year.
