Annual renewable scholarship created in memory of Matthew Moore by his wife, Lucy Goffinet, and his parents, John E. and Ann C. Moore, to help students pursuing advanced education.
Graduating seniors of Cannelton High School or Tell City High School pursuing post-secondary education. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.0 (4.0 scale).
Selection will be based on applicant’s success in overcoming difficult circumstances, a history of working hard to achieve aspirations and goals, the desire to help others, and the required essay.
- Essay: Statement of Perseverance describing the challenges faced in order to pursue past and/or future aspirations and goals (about 500 words/5,000 characters).
- Letter of recommendation in support of the applicant’s ability to overcome challenges and obstacles.
- Official grade transcript.
