Pike County residents who are graduating seniors of Pike Central High School pursuing post-secondary education in engineering. Preference will be given to students studying automotive engineering or design. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale), and be enrolled at an accredited institution of higher education the fall after high school graduation.
Selection will be based on financial need, supplemental documents, and other sections of the application.
- Essay (two typewritten, double-spaced pages) describing applicant’s involvement in school, his/her favorite teacher, area of study, volunteer involvement, and financial need.
- Two letters of recommendation – one from a Pike Central High School teacher and the other from an individual who is unrelated to the applicant and who is not a Community Foundation board member.
- Official grade transcript.
