In 2004, a group of visionary women started the Women’s Fund of Posey County as a permanent resource to support local charitable programs that give opportunities, encouragement, knowledge, and hope to the community. The Women’s Fund is their voice for the present and their gift to the future. The Women’s Fund awards annual grants supporting a variety of resources serving the Posey County community, such as programs that prevent domestic violence, secure family-supporting jobs, promote health and education, and, perhaps most importantly, develop confidence.

The Posey County Community Foundation is 1 of 9 county affiliate Foundations of the Community Foundation Alliance, Inc. Established in 1992, the Posey County Community Foundation is committed to offering residents a variety of ways to support, through charitable giving, the causes they care most about in their community.
